Barcelona president Joan Laporta has declared that the Spanish giants have decided to "fight" for the signature of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas during the summer. The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks of the Catalan club, before joining the north London outfit in 2003 as a 16-year-old. He has since been regularly linked by the media - and Barcelona themselves - with a move back to Camp Nou, despite regularly insisting that he is very happy at Arsenal and with life in London."Cesc Fabregas is desired by us for many reasons," Laporta is quoted by The Sun as saying."Barcelona have decided to fight for the kid for next season. He added: "The money? This will be decided at the end of March to prepare the way for a deal."Cesc is such a big player. Our intention is to convince the Londoners about the sale. It won't be easy but we have good relations with the Gunners."The tabloid speculates that an offer of £40 million is on the cards. Should this bid fail, it is believed that the Spaniards will offer £30m plus Yaya Toure in exchange for the midfield maestro.
