Lionel Messi has won yet another accolade, after picking up the Golden Ball for the Club World Cup.
In a ceremony after the match, Messi was handed the award, having finished the tournament with two goals, one of which was the winner in the final.
The Silver award went to Juan Sebastian Veron, who, at 34, was the driving force behind Estudiantes. Unfortunately for 'La Brujita,' however, he was unable to emulate the feats of his father, who won the tournament when it was called the Intercontinental Cup, also playing for Estudiantes.
Finally, the bronze award went to Xavi, who will add it to his Euro 2008 Player of the Tournament award.
